Tim Lincecum No-Hits Padres

Tim Lincecum has thrown his first career no-hitter and the second in the majors in 11 days, a gem saved by a spectacular diving catch by right fielder Hunter Pence in the Giants' 9-0 win against the Padres on Saturday night, according to an ESPN.com report. 

Lincecum was in control from the start, striking out 13 and throwing a career-high 148 pitches.

David Ortiz Sets DH Hits Record

David Ortiz didn't wait long Wednesday to notch his 1,689th hit as a DH and surpass Harold Baines for the all-time lead at a position that the AL adopted in 1973.

In the second inning, Ortiz took a 3-1 offering from Mariners starter Aaron Harang and lined a double into left-center field.

Ortiz already holds marks for the most runs scored, doubles, home runs, extra-base hits and RBIs by a DH.

Homer Bailey threw his second no-hitter in 10 months and led the Reds' infield celebration with arms raised after a 3-0 win over the Giants on Tuesday might, according to an ESPN.com report.

Bailey became the third Reds pitcher with more than one no-hitter, joining Jim Maloney and Johnny Vander Meer.
